The faux layers hoaxed rears, coveted fears
run in circles ’til the dust settles and the silence purrs.
We embody the freckles the wrinkles the pigmentation,
and we rise above
like the beguiling scent of curry that escapes our mother’s cooker.
Maha graduated from Grand Valley State University in Michigan with a degree in Psychology. She is a certified behavior technician and is currently being trained in the United States as a child welfare specialist. She is a strong mental health and female empowerment advocate. Maha is a writer for Harness Magazine in Ohio and her poetry has been translated to French and displayed at the Padnos Art Gallery. Maha is also a lash extension artist and enjoys oil painting, traveling and chocolate soufflé!
